Skis: Line Sick Day 95's. Twin-tipped all mountain skis that perform extremely well in almost all conditions. They are 95mm underfoot and have about 16m turn radius. They are responsive and fun in powder but are also reliable when the snow is much harder. Ideal for backcountry skiing when the uphill is relaxed and the downhill is why you are there! Bindings: Marker King Pin. In my opinion these are the best of both worlds with a pin toe binding and an alpine style heel binding. This means that in 'ski mode' they release at both the toe and heel meaning they are safer than lightweight pin bindings that only release at the toe. In walk mode they have 2 additional heights that allow you to decrease the travel gradient when skinning up hill. Poles: Scott S4 Alloy back-country poles with powder buckets attached. In this package ski-crampons (Marker King-Pin) and bespoke skins (Blackdiamond Mohair) are supplied. Boots: Scarpa Maestrale RS. A very stiff touring boot meaning that you can generate a lot of power into the ski without the boot flexing too much. Rated 130 stiffness (although more like a 110​/​120 alpine boot). The sole length is 314mm and have full Vibram soles.
